Healing

Healing

Pentecost 45

On a day to celebrate life and freedom, the French found a need for healing.  The ordinary celebrations became extraordinary horror and happiness and joviality turned to grief and sorrow.

In memoriam to those affected. we pause for thoughts and prayers of healing.  We often fail to see the action of such but sometimes they are the most effective things and tools we have to offer.

Share a smile, a hug, a prayer with someone today.  Do it to honor those before you and those who can no longer share.  Do it in the hope that tomorrow will dawn with greater healing and less grief.  These are indeed the times that try our souls.  They also strengthen us and can, if we allow it, unite us.  Peace is one way we can turn ordinary living into something extraordinary.
